INK FILTERS

All printing machines have ink filters that require weekly cleaning and maintenance. Ink filters can be easily overlooked and left for long periods of time without any cleaning.

Neglected ink filters become contaminated and blocked with dried ink and dirt very quickly. This affects ink flow / circulation within the ink chamber, creating ink starvation and print issues. Blocked filters affect the flow of cleaning solution, generating print problems. Fragments of ink and dirt will recirculate within the inking system, blocking chambers, pumps and pipes. Dry ink particles become very hard and can ‘score’ or ‘scratch’ anilox rolls, which are very expensive to repair.

We recommend a weekly clean / rinse with Print Wizard to remove all ink and dirt from the filters, ensuring ink and dirt particles are removed.
