ANILOX CLEANING

ANILOX CLEANING

Anilox rolls are the most important component inside of all printing machines to keep clean. Dirty anilox rolls reduce cell volume, impacting on print quality. Blocked anilox cells increase ink usage, requiring ink adjustments that in turn increases ink costs and press downtime.

It is a necessity to keep anilox rolls clean with regular auto-washing, bucket washing or a combination of both methods depending on the types of inks you are printing. Metallic inks, white ink and some varnishes may require a slightly longer cleaning duration to ensure that the anilox roll is cleaned efficiently.

We recommend bucket washes are performed on a regular basis to ensure anilox rolls are kept clean.

Fresh ink is easier to remove than dried on ink. Regular washing with Print Wizard will remove fresh ink quickly,

regulating and maintaining anilox rolls performance whilst also keeping the complete inking system clean.

Print Wizard diluted to 10% with water is ideal for short or long machine washing if using an auto machine

dosage system to clean print units and anilox rolls.

Recycle Print Wizard as much as possible, use buckets repeatedly to stretch the product as far as possible saving product and money – if Print Wizard foams it still works!

Note:

Machines dosage systems inject a percentage of water as part of the wash / clean procedure; therefore 10% diluted Print Wizard will be diluted further, reducing the cleaning performance. We recommend that each machine that uses this type of system is assessed by company engineers to ensure the correct dilution of Print Wizard is dosed.
