DRIP TRAYS

DRIP TRAYS

Drip trays become dirty and encrusted with solid dried on ink very quickly.

Leaking ink chambers, increased ink pump pressure, worn end seals along with daily splashes and spills generate a lot of residue ink that is captured by drip trays.

When drip trays are neglected for even minimal periods, ink builds up quickly and can dry solid making it difficult to remove. This is especially a problem when using specialist products such as metallic inks, white ink and a host of varnishes.

These may need to be ‘chiselled’ off or removed with more physical effort.

Drip trays can easily be kept clean by regularly using 10% diluted Print Wizard. A daily wipe down with a sponge or cloth ensures ink does not build up to creating more difficult cleaning later, saving time and effort. If drip trays have not been cleaned effectively previously, spray Print Wizard and leave to soak to help loosen encrusted ink. Then sponge and wipe clean.

We recommend regular drip tray cleaning – the longer a drip tray is left uncleaned, the harder it will be to clean.
